Risk factors of Nonsuicidal Self-injury among AdolescentsNonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI), which refers to deliberate self-inflicted harm with- out suicidal intent, has become a serious public health concern especially among adolescents, with a lifetime prevalence from 17.1% to 46.5% in community samples and from 51.3% to 82.4% in clinical populations. The aim of the Research Group of Youth Mental Health from Eotvos Lorand University and Semmelweis University, Budapest has been in the last decade to explore the complex relationship between NSSI, mental disorders, life events, perfectionism and different quality of life dimensions both in community and clinical samples of adolescents. In the current symposium they present their latest results.
